The Benefits of Using a Graphic Designer

If you’re not a graphic designer, then graphic design is hard. Or maybe that’s just us, but some projects just never seem to look as good or go as smoothly when we do it ourselves. Sure, there are some helpful tools to make it a little easier for us who aren’t designers, but if you don’t have a graphic designer and have something you’d like done, consider hiring a pro! You not having to stress out about whether or not a color block would look good is just one of the many benefits.

Consistency
A big reason to have a graphic designer work on your marketing materials is because you know they’ll all have a similar look and feel. Of course, not everything you put out has to look the exact same, but it should look like it’s coming from the same company. A graphic designer will keep that in mind and make sure each piece goes together.

Have something you’re proud of
How many times have you designed something only to think, “Eh, this will do.” Don’t settle! The pieces you market with, whether it’s a mailer, brochure, or social media graphic, will represent your business and you should be happy with it!

Save time
If you’re a business owner without a huge marketing team, chances are you don’t have a ton of time to work on a design or marketing material. When we’re not comfortable with something, we can spend hours trying to figure out what’s best, check out other examples, delete, start over, and begin the whole process again. Your time should be spent doing the tasks you’re good at – not trying to master something you don’t even have a passion for.

They’re professionals
Honestly, this could be enough of a reason. They know what they’re doing and they have the right programs to design quality pieces. Have you ever tried designing something in a program that’s not very helpful? It’s frustrating and causes more stress. Plus, they know which files to use, the images that will work best, and what format something should be in if it needs to be printed. It’s so much easier!

We’re not saying every graphic you put on Facebook has to be done by a pro. But for bigger campaigns or materials, a graphic designer might be what you need! At Pulse, we’re so thankful to have a great designer – we couldn’t produce quality pieces for our clients (or for Pulse!) without her! We’d love to help you with your next design project!
