Spring Cleaning: Marketing Edition

Whew, spring is finally here. It was a rough winter and we’re all ready for some warmer weather and days spent outside, right? Spring means sunny days, outdoor activities, fresh air, and spring cleaning! Okay, so not everyone gets excited about the cleaning part of the new season, but it’s the perfect time to look at all you have and in the words of Marie Kondo, to “get rid of the items that don’t spark joy.”

Spring cleaning is usually done in homes and offices, but this year, try spring cleaning: marketing edition! Really, there’s never a bad time to review your marketing, but why not take a look at it at the beginning of a fresh season!

If you made goals at the beginning of the new year, now is a good time to check up on them! Have you met any yet? Are you still working towards what you want to accomplish or have you gotten sidetracked? Have you started anything that’s gotten pushed to the side you need to begin again? Make sure you’re where you need to be to meet your goals for this year!

A great way to clean up your marketing is to get rid of what isn’t working. Maybe you decided to try something new, but you haven’t seen the results you were wanting. You can stop! It doesn’t have to be forever and you can definitely try again, but take a break if it’s not working. If you’re putting a lot of time and energy into something that doesn’t produce the results you want, don’t waste your time! Work towards something else.

If you don’t want to stop something completely, start fresh! Maybe you need to start from the beginning and make a few changes. Find out what went wrong or why you aren’t seeing the results you expected. Tweak a few things and see if it goes any better for you!

And you can start fresh on anything – it doesn’t have to be something you’ve recently started. If you feel like your logo needs a new update, don’t put it off anymore! If your website could use some serious work, take some time to figure out exactly what needs to be done. Sometimes, a fresh start is just what we need to give ourselves a boost. You don’t have to be stuck with something because you’ve had it for a while, it’ll take a lot of work, or you’re not sure when to start. Do what’s best for you and your business, even if it means putting a lot of your attention toward one thing.

Social media is a great and simple way to market to your customers, but now is the perfect time to clean it up if necessary. Do some research and find out what’s been working well, what your followers have liked, and what they want to see more of. If you’re posting things that aren’t getting any clicks or attention, change what you’re doing.

If it seems like a good time for your business, take some time and spring clean your marketing! If you come across something you could use help on, let us know! We’d love to get your marketing plan squeaky clean! Click here for your FREE 1-hour consultation, and let the spring cleaning begin!
