Own Your Crazy

You have to own it, always. Your crazy is what makes you, you!

Recently I have been thinking a lot about the business. Where it’s going, how to streamline some things, how to decide when it’s time for more people to join us. Lots of change which is good, but not always easy to swallow. What keeps me grounded and usually of sound mind, is to remember why I started Pulse and to know no matter what we do, we won’t have to pretend, because at the end of the day, we are always true to ourselves. And yes, that does mean a little crazy. For those of you who know me, you know what I’m talking about!

I started Pulse so I didn’t have to compromise who I was to get a sale. I wanted to offer a good product, at a fair price and truly do what I love.

We know not everyone will be, or want to be for that matter, our client. We are not the best solution for everyone and that’s okay. Hey, we have pajama Monday’s after all. That’s right, our team, including me, can come in on Monday in pajamas and no one will say a word and we usually don’t wear makeup either. So, if you come to our office on a Monday, you’ve been warned.

We like to own it, our crazy that is, no matter what. We’re not perfect, but we do work hard to get better each and every day at what we do. We call it, perfecting our craft. We’re not here to be the biggest, we’re here to be the best at what we offer.

We don’t ever want to be someone we’re not, so we don’t do it. We own our crazy. All of it.

As a mother to three kids who are in a million activities (yes we do it to ourselves) I can tell you there is a lot of crazy. Therefore, as a business owner sometimes coming to work (ok, lots of times) is my break. I LOVE what I do. I don’t dread coming to work, in fact I love it. I get to be creative, collaborate with some of the greatest people I’ve ever met and record some videos for you all!

My true self loves doing this work, this is one of the coolest careers ever (in my opinion) and I truly believe I have the best clients in the world. We work well together, we collaborate, we’re creative and we make sure to keep their end business goals in mind, always.

So, at the end of the day it’s true authenticity we care about. Don’t compromise anything about yourself or how you want to run your business. Don’t let others get in your head and make you think you need to do it a certain way or it will fail. You won’t fail if you’re always true to yourself. Be your own biggest fan. After all, you’ve got this!

Until next time, take care!
