5 Things To Do In Your Email Marketing Campaigns

There are 3.7 billion email users in the world.* Are you already communicating with your target market through emails? If not, it might be time to start! Here are a few tips to keep in mind when creating an email.

Make sure your emails look good on mobile

This is a big one because we all look at our phones multiple times a day. They go with us everywhere and we keep so much information on them! So if an email doesn’t look good on a smartphone, there’s a good chance it will quickly be deleted. Most email platforms let you preview the mobile version of your email, so remember to check it before hitting send!

Use attractive marketing graphics

Let’s be honest. Not everyone will sit and read every word in an email. We don’t like to take too much time out of our already busy days! If we don’t read word-for-word, we’ll usually scan the graphics. Are your images attractive? Are they clear and high quality? Good images and graphics will draw people’s attention and prompt them to read more of the text!

Personalize your emails

We know when we get an email from a company it’s usually not only going to us. There are so many more people receiving the exact same content. But wouldn’t it be nice if it were just for us?? It makes us feel special, unique, and cared for. And what customer doesn’t want that? You know your target market better than anyone, so personalize your emails and make it feel like you’re talking to only one person.

Have a great opt in offer

A tricky part about email marketing is getting people to sign up! We get a lot of emails each day, so we can be picky about what we subscribe to. When you have your opt in sign up form, keep it simple and only ask for the necessary information like a name and email address. You’ll also want to entice them with something helpful. What will they get from you when they sign up? Will you offer special tips and tricks unique to them? A discount for the next time they shop or do business with you? Make it something they can’t refuse!

Test, test, test

Another tricky part about email marketing can be knowing when to send out your emails. But all it takes is some testing! Experiment with days and times. Maybe your audience checks their emails before they get started with work in the morning. Or you might find you get more opens in the evenings. Monday morning might not be the best time, but you find out Wednesday afternoons are great! There’s really no way of knowing the perfect time to send an email unless you try out some different options.

Email marketing is a great way to reach and communicate with your audience. You can share so much and use it in so many different ways! If you’re looking for even more reasons to try email marketing, check out this blog post
