3 Social Media Lies

Do you wanna know what really gets me going? When I hear people being lied to. It really gets me going. I am an avid person when it comes to personal development. I read, I do courses, I listen to podcasts. I am basically a human sponge, for a couple of reasons. One, I always want to be learning and two, I want to learn from those who are doing what I want to do.

But like any profession, not all trainers are equal. Some really aim to instill certain beliefs about social media that in my experience and opinion are certainly not true. So, I figured I would take a minute to share 3 lies you probably believe about social media marketing that just aren’t true.

1. You need to be on allllll the different platforms.

// Welll, girlfriend that is a big fat no. You don’t have to be on all platforms. In fact, I always recommend picking one and doing it well for 6 months, then bringing on another. It saves you from overwhelm [don’t do that to yourself ] and helps you remain consistent more easily.

2. You need to have a big following.

// Uh, nope. A big following comes with creating content that appeals and helps your people. I guess what I’m trying to say here is you don’t need a lot of people, you need the RIGHT people.

3. You need to have a big budget for ads or it just won’t work.

// Eh, wrong. You don’t need a big budget or any budget. You need to have engaging content to grow your right audience.

See, the thing is that you actually have to know what content connects to your audience in order to build a relationship with them. This happens by posting consistently…and I’m ready to help you with that! If you’re on the struggle bus about what to post or how to attract your right audience authentically, then my membership group the HIVE is right for you.
